[Chris seems a bit less hesitant than the last time his PokeGear was open. What with his Pawniard Maya sharpening her blades on a rock while he rested.]

Not even two weeks yet. I've just been throwing balls at everything that catches my attention, and buying more when I run out. I'm starting to think this wasn't the best idea.

I might be overthinking it but I've been looking at Pokemon that may not be so common on this Route rather than going at it your way. But to each his own way.

I just have Maya who is a Pawniard. Oh, and a Squirtle egg when I arrive at Cherrygrove City. Of course that sort of cost me a good deal.

Guess I'll need a house too, if they all grow that big. How high and fast can it fly?

When you start having to buy bucket loads of food, that's a surefire sign.

But I think it depends on how much you can personally handle.

I haven't reached that point yet, but they're young. Can't say that'll be the case during their teenage period.

But I was planning on catching every single Normal-type I met at the very least, and it's starting to look like a bad idea.

Yeah, see, the thing about normal types is that they're... kind of everywhere. Everywhere except caves and maybe forests, anyway.

[And water, but that's a bit more obvious.]

I've been learning that. I already found eight different species, and I just got here. Most ended up being rodents or birds.

When you don't have the time to pay them each the attention they desire, I'd say.

I don't think that would work. Princess would be unhappy with the amount of attention I give her even if she was alone.

...The attention they really need, in that case. Some are more demanding than others, but a reasonable compromise can be found...at some point, caring for too many Pokemon would hinder the trainer's ability to care well for any of them.

...They all seem happy to be here, and happy to play with each other. They might not grow quite as quickly as they want, but I guess that's good enough.

I don't think you can have too many.

...I guess not, depending on the way you think about it. But they can get a bit overwhelming after a while.

It's kinda like having a small army of enthusiastic toddlers in your room. You just know they'll definitely break something before the end of the day.

...They all understand their role as being the enthusiastic trouble maker, at the moment. I didn't think they'd have this much energy.

It is only natural they regain their energetic levels after a harsh battle. [ A sigh. ] If you feel there are too many, there are no negative consequence to storing them.

Are you sure? I have no choice when I leave town to train them, but I wouldn't want to stick them in there for nothing either.
