[For about a minute, the air is filled with the cries and noises of a small army of Pokémon. Singing birds, chittering rodents, with laughter and crashes mixed in every so often- uh, that sounded like Ember. Oh dear.]

Ever had a Houndour slam into your shin at full speed? Those heads of theirs are really hard; if this keeps going I'll break an ankle someday.

Dark Hound is good at running, but not so very good at stopping just yet. Especially on wooden or tiled floors.

How old is he?

I got him almost two weeks ago. He can't be much older than that.

So he's still kinda young. He could grow out of it.

Hopefully, or else I'll need crutches before the month is over.

What about leg guards or something?

That would work. Have you seen any in stores?

They have to be on sale somewhere.

I haven't seen any yet, but if they have Fighting-types they must have martial artists, too.

Yeah, exactly! So there's gotta be equipment for sale somewhere.

In Goldenrod, maybe? They have sports equipment like bicycles, so there's a chance...

I don't know. I haven't been around in Johto too much.

No, we travel. We just stay in Kanto, mostly.

Any interesting sights there? Common species that can't be found in Johto?

There are different ones, that's true. I think Kanto has bigger cities than Johto.

Bigger cities... I bet their shops are more useful than the little pokémart in Cherrygrove.

Oh definitely. Cherrygrove is so much smaller than pretty much everywhere I've been here.
