[The feed starts with a close view of the bottom half of a Snorlax floating on water, complete with an Octillery sitting between the legs and moving its tentacles like the world's slowest propeller. It backs away a little, partially showing Mt. Mortar to the side. There's plenty of time to take in the view, as the background is moving at a glacial pace.

A rout of tiny little baby Shellos is racing against the unlikely boat on the shore, and winning. Easily.]

At this point, I can't even tell which one is using Surf. Or if either of them is using Surf at all. It's been three days, and we're not halfway to Mahogany yet.

[Which would explain why Ash looks so bored when he finally looks at the camera. Behind him, gentle snoring can be heard. No wonder they're practically not moving.]

So, a little poll for you guys. Should I try to swim there by myself instead? Because I'm seriously considering it.

Average at best, but I'd still go faster than this for a while before inevitably drowning.

The drowning part is a good argument for staying where you are I'd say.

It would be a change from the monotony of the journey. Besides, I'd bet the fish on this route are better conversationalists than these two.

If they disagree so much, they should stop snoring and start talking. I'd almost take one of the others out, but I'm not sure how much weight Gullet can take before he sinks.

Well maybe the rest of us on the gear can give you a little company while they sleep. So you don't have to resort to swimming for entertainment at least.

Do you have any plans or you just going to visit Mahogany for the trip?

That's an acceptable alternative. I'm mostly going there for the badge; the small town atmosphere will be a nice touch after so many months in Goldenrod, but getting started on my training journey again is the main point.

It sounds nice. Do you have a journey plan in mind after Mahogany? Or are you trying to get all the badges?

I don't know about all, but I'd like to get all of Johto's at least. After that, it'll depend on the kinds of species I can find on my path.
