21st treasure [audio/action for the castle]
...Hey, can anyone actually hear this...?
[At this point it wouldn't surprise him at all if the answer was 'no', but it's not like it hurts to try, right?]
There's a room with a star chart projected on the walls on the second floor. But the stars on it are completely unfamiliar to me. Has anyone seen any constellations they know in there? From home or from Johto? It might help us figure out where we are, even if not how we got here in the first place.
[Or not, but he refuses to be such a defeatist so quickly.
Which is why he's still in that room, poring over all those little glowy dots and trying to find a sign of home in there. It's not going very well.]
((Need someone to find/open the pink door for you? Here's your (pirate) man!))

audio;
[And even a rusty blade is better than a broken bit of table or banister.]
But I remember the blue door. I will be over there shortly to have a look.
audio;
[Turns out it's not the same as using a beam saber through a mobile suit. Who knew?]
Great. Barring sudden monsters, I'll still be there.
audio;
Fortunately, I know my way around a sword. I can't speak to anything else in here though.
[And with that, there's a click as Faize puts his Pokégear away and makes is way to the Star Chamber. It takes about five minutes, but eventually the door creaks open to reveal the young, pointy-eared alien boy. His eyes widen as he looks around the room, almost seeming briefly enraptured by the sight.]
Goodness...
audio/action;
[Faize might have to be careful, though, because there's a man lying on the floor and looking up at the ceiling. At least the arm he's raising to point at a particular star should be easily visible.]
Not quite as impressive as the real sky, but it still makes you want to just stay here and watch, doesn't it?
action; ah yes. action was the word i was looking for go me.
Yes, it does. [He glances over at the crystal responsible for the projection briefly before walking over to one of the walls to examine the stars themselves.]
And you said you saw nothing at all that you recognized, correct?
action; it's such a tricky little thing
[He tries to trace a few between the dots he can see, but the match is apparently bad enough for him to drop his arm with a sigh.]
action; it really is. it shouldn't be. but it is.
action;
[Like now. He's quite content where he is at the moment, though he knows that this room might not be so safe by nightfall.]
action;
'Just' a captain? I think perhaps you are selling yourself a bit short there. That's quite an accomplishment, at least where I come from. [He turns his attention back to the wall, taking a few steps to his left.]
If not exploration, what then?
action;
[Or maybe they're not impressed about the 'pirate' part. That's even more likely.]
Fighting over what we've already found, mostly. Usually, when I see real stars, it's because a fight is about to happen somewhere out there.
action;
[Faize continues walking around the edge of the room, taking in all the tiny pinpricks of light. Though he's becoming less inclined to believe that he's going to find anything familiar the more steps he takes. Sigh, it was worth a try but...]
action;
[He starts tracing a shape that somewhat resembles a stylized eye as he speaks.]
action;
[He sighs, finally ceasing his wandering around the edges of the room and instead moves to sit down, cross-legged, a few feet away from Ash.]
I believe it's safe to say that none of these stars are from any of the systems I have encountered thus far either. [He leans back on his hands a little.] They are pretty though, even for artificial stars.
action;
[The hand that was busy tracing now clenches into a fist.]
They sure are, though that might just be the contrast with the rest of the building. So, how many star systems does that take off the list, approximately?
action;
[Especially since he was...you know. The navigator. Typically a good idea to have at least some idea of what and where things are when you're the one plotting courses and what not. Even with a computer to help.]
action;
[Maybe he could get something like that on the Baronoke. After he manages to install a sphere or two to finally call home once in a while.]
action;
Well, my circumstances are a bit different from yours, from the sound of things. I was part of a crew whose mission was exploratory in nature. Our goal was to find a new home planet for the inhabitants of Earth. We did, admittedly get quite sidetracked on a few occasions, however. [He closes his eyes, smiling somewhat fondly to himself.] In all honesty, we probably should have visited many more planets than we actually did in the span of our travels. [He opens his eyes again, looking over at Ash.]
But to answer your question, it was something of a combination of the two, though I would say more library-like than network.
action;
[Or the problems adapting to a new planet could cause. Considering what had happened to the martian colonists... That mere thought is enough to make him frown.]
action;
[HE's silent for a moment, closing his eyes and inclining his head before continuing.]
To make a long story short, a composite crew of three was formed: myself and two Earthlings. Hardly an ideal situation to carry on such a daunting mission, but options were limited. So it's hardly my place to question why the Earthlings did what they did. But apparently their Earth is so polluted from war that the surface is no longer habitable. Humans live underground, from what I understand. I imagine that might have something to do with why they felt a fresh start on a new planet would be their best option.
action;
[He raises both hands now, as if he was trying to catch the stars.]
It was brave of you to leave with such a small crew. Even the smallest ship holds dozens of people, these days. Anything less might mean death in an ambush, or if our equipment is damaged
action;
[Especially since half the people they picked up are form underdeveloped planets with no knowledge of electricity, let alone space travel. Good job there, guys.]
But we made it work.
action;
[He can appreciate unconventional, these days.]
Did you chose your additional crewmembers, or did they invite themselves?
action;
[He smiles fondly to himself.]
Ah! I've only just realized. I never did introduce myself, did I? Forgive me, I got a bit too caught up in the stars and the conversation, but my name is Faize Sheifa Beleth, an Eldarian.
action;
And I'm Captain Ash, a human from Earth. It's nice to meet you.
action;
A pleasure, Captain Ash.
