Hey, I've got three questions for you guys.

1) Are there any engineers among us, amateur or professional? Especially ones familiar with humanoid combat robots, that'd be great.

2) If I'm flying from Vermillion, which is easier to reach: route 15, or route 25? And which of the two has the highest Slakoth population?

3) Chances of another Shapedonado this year: very high, high, medium, low, very low, oh god please no?

It was just one of my first experiences in this place. Rose colored glasses towards the past and all that.

Really? That's... a pretty memorable first impression, I guess. Not sure if it's better or worse than showing up right before the mass Yamask possessions.

Is that anything like "horror movie" type possession?

It only lasted a few days, and no one died. That's a step up from most horror movie possessions, thankfully.

"No one died" still leaves room for plenty of other horrible scenarios. I personally think of blood pouring down the walls to start with.

...I promise you that the walls were completely blood-free. Some of the Yamasks even joined their possessees' teams.

Really? That's certainly friendly.

It's not really surprising. They might have been the souls of dead locals, but they were also Pokémon.

Oh, yeah, it turns that some Pokédex entries are not completely made up after all, including Yamask's. Which doesn't explain how they can hatch from eggs without somehow sucking in a dead soul, but still.

Well... Have you ever heard of a concept called reincarnation?

Yeah, but the one person I knew of who believed in it the most wasn't exactly... stable, so you could say I don't give much thought to it.

That makes sense. It was just an idea that came to mind that I thought could potentially explain things.

...I guess it might. I mean, just because reincarnation is extremely unlikely in my world doesn't mean it's not normal here, right? Or something like that.

That's the spirit. I mean, how many of us have anything like Pokemon back home?

At least one person mentioned a homeworld with battle-worthy pets, but it didn't sound nearly as commonplace as here. Not sure that counts.

A woman with a very striking name. She mentioned birds that could outfight Pokémon, but it didn't sound like people are catching them for fun and adventure.

I suppose that shouldn't be surprising... This place seems like the best case scenario for that sort of thing, but not everywhere could be like it.

It does feel as though this world is best case scenario for... well, nearly everything, sometimes. Makes every other world look nasty in comparison.

The only real troublemakers are those strange Teams... Yet it feels like I only notice them when it's other outsiders like us who've joined them.

Probably because their local members' plans tend to be less flashy. Or maybe because our fellow outsiders tend to enjoy taunting us on this network; it's not like anyone else uses it much.

That's true. I can't imagine that it would be hard to use the network, however. Don't they replace Pokegears at Pokemon Centers?

They replace them, but I'm not sure they sell them. Then again, they could just claim to have lost their original along with their trainer ID.
