Hey, I've got three questions for you guys.

1) Are there any engineers among us, amateur or professional? Especially ones familiar with humanoid combat robots, that'd be great.

2) If I'm flying from Vermillion, which is easier to reach: route 15, or route 25? And which of the two has the highest Slakoth population?

3) Chances of another Shapedonado this year: very high, high, medium, low, very low, oh god please no?

That's the spirit. I mean, how many of us have anything like Pokemon back home?

At least one person mentioned a homeworld with battle-worthy pets, but it didn't sound nearly as commonplace as here. Not sure that counts.

Oh, really? Who was it?

A woman with a very striking name. She mentioned birds that could outfight Pokémon, but it didn't sound like people are catching them for fun and adventure.

I suppose that shouldn't be surprising... This place seems like the best case scenario for that sort of thing, but not everywhere could be like it.

It does feel as though this world is best case scenario for... well, nearly everything, sometimes. Makes every other world look nasty in comparison.

The only real troublemakers are those strange Teams... Yet it feels like I only notice them when it's other outsiders like us who've joined them.

Probably because their local members' plans tend to be less flashy. Or maybe because our fellow outsiders tend to enjoy taunting us on this network; it's not like anyone else uses it much.

That's true. I can't imagine that it would be hard to use the network, however. Don't they replace Pokegears at Pokemon Centers?

They replace them, but I'm not sure they sell them. Then again, they could just claim to have lost their original along with their trainer ID.

That makes it feel as though Pokegears were only made for outsiders like us. It's so strange.

Yeah. Maybe they just have a network of their own? I haven't spent too much time hacking into my Gear, but we might just have restricted access as temporary visitors.

That's true, that's an interesting theory. It would make sense as well with how much people disappear here.

Now I'm curious about it, but I'm nowhere near tech savvy enough to find out.

I can take another look at it, butnetwork aren't my specialty. Still, there's always the chance of stumbling upon something good, right?

As long as there's a chance, there's no reason not to give it a try.

Yeah, especially since it's not like it would take up all my time and resources.

In theory. Until the Pokégear suddenly self-destructs to protect its secrets, or something else equally outlandish.

Yeah. Though I have to wonder if they still replace them after a not-so-accidental explosion.

Right, an accidental explosion shouldn't look different from an expected one, should it? And with all those Voltorbs out there, excuses are easy.

They've probably seen stranger, right?

Before their first week on the job is over, certainly.

I bet that would make for an interesting documentary.
