Can anyone explain to me what was supposed to be so horrible about challenging Whitney? She was really sweet when we talked, and the info she shared about Normal-types is going to be useful when I move on. I fail to see what's warning-worthy about that.

Yes but you can balance authority with tenderness well! You were able to get Whitney to not cry!

Apparently, that's mostly because of our shared favorite type.

Really?! She didn't cry for any other reason? I wonder if I talked up normal types, would she be happy with me....? They really are cute!

I used five of them during the fight. I think she appreciated that, too.

Hehe! So she was enough to give that much trouble, huh? I feel like a lot of people consider the gym leaders weak, but I think they're pretty much stronger than us as a whole. They only test up to a certain attribute we surpassed though.

It depends on when you decide to face them, really. Bugsy didn't give me any trouble, but I had Fire- and Flying-types at much higher levels than his team.

That's what I was saying, hehe. I bet if you challenged him with equal levels, he'd be a lot harder to beat!

I still would have had the type advantage, though. Bugs burn surprisingly easily.
