Can anyone explain to me what was supposed to be so horrible about challenging Whitney? She was really sweet when we talked, and the info she shared about Normal-types is going to be useful when I move on. I fail to see what's warning-worthy about that.

Really? She looked a bit upset at first, but then we started talking about Normal-types and soon she was all smiles.

Five of them and my starter, Houndoom. But he had the disadvantage of being affected by Attract, so the others had a lot of chances to shine.

That might be it. Seems like all the leaders are pretty passionate about their types, so you could've hit a soft spot.
