Small cats, big cats, all cats...?

[Not that they have separate categories, but it's still important to know.]

Small cats I can keep in my lap.

Easily transported and easily cuddled; two of their greatest qualities. It's a shame the local ones tend to grow much larger after thirty levels or so.

I don't mind the cats here. They are useful in their own ways, and are easy to travel with.

Their claws are a bit more dangerous than the usual, though. Not that I mind all that much when they're turned against wild attackers.

Believe me, these claws are nothing compared to what I'm used to.

Oh, is that the way to build up an immunity to cat claws? Getting scratched by worse critters too often?

If cats were the size of houses here, I'd feel right at home. It's not an immunity as much as a built up tolerance to that kind of pain.

...Considering that cats the size of houses are not so unlikely around here, you may still get some use out of that tolerance.

Are those Behemoths of yours bigger than fifteen metres long? Because those Wailords are huge.

No, but there are things that would make a Wailord look tiny in comparison.

...I'm trying to imagine how much cat food would be needed to feed a creature so big. The thought makes my wallet weep.

It'll literally eat anything and anyone. Even its own kind if it has to. I'd worry more about keeping out of its jaws.

That sounds terrifyingly like a Snorlax or a Gulpin, except on a much larger scale. They're not commonplace, are they?

Depends on the area. They can be as common as cats and dogs.

That's why there's hunters and mercenaries, and guard in the cities. They have things under control. I kill whatever I run across.

Yes. Behemoth meats pretty good, especially when grilled.

The risk of a painful death versus the potential for many tasty dinners. Not exactly what I'd call fair, but still better than nothing.

It's better than letting them either kill everyone, or let all of that meat go to waste once they've been taken down.

No wasting food or human lives; how practical. It's a shame some people wouldn't bother at all, really.

It's... I don't know how they do it here, but I don't trust the meat products they sell in this world.

...I've probably eaten worse while deployed, but I admit that I'd like to know if it's artificial, or if they're hiding regular animals somewhere, or even if they're eating Pokémon and pretending that's not happening. Just to be certain, you know?
