Hey, I've got three questions for you guys.

1) Are there any engineers among us, amateur or professional? Especially ones familiar with humanoid combat robots, that'd be great.

2) If I'm flying from Vermillion, which is easier to reach: route 15, or route 25? And which of the two has the highest Slakoth population?

3) Chances of another Shapedonado this year: very high, high, medium, low, very low, oh god please no?

You mean up out of the water? Just...in a spout, the weather did that?

To be fair, even by this world's standards it was very intense weather. But yes, dozens of sharks were somehow ripped out of their ocean.

[occultigen]

That sounds horrible! And dangerous, too, with them...flying everywhere, and such.

How did it all get resolved, in the end? Did someone pick them all up?

[captainash]

Some were caught, others were thrown back in the water, I'm sure a few managed to crawl home by themselves... They only appeared near the coasts, so at least there's no chance we'll someday find a lone shark still hiding on top of a mountain.

Well, thank goodness for that, at least.

...And, er. You said that was a rare thing, a freak...chance? Not the sort of thing that happens commonly. I should hate to think of a nice time at the beach spoiled by...by flying sharks, of all things.

[captainash]

I've been here for almost three years and it only happened once, if that reassures you. And I've just been told it hasn't happened in the two years before that, so the beaches should be relatively safe and shark-free.

[occultigen]

I do appreciate the reassurance, thank you. I'll not have been here a whole year until September, so I'm still not used to how things are the whole year around, yet, I'm afraid.

If you arrived in September, you've already seen the local winter, two of those strange weekends and the usual end of October madness. Compared to that, whatever happens during the summer is harmless and doesn't last very long.

[occultigen]

...That sort of madness comes to pass every October?

[captainash]

Two years ago, there was that... I suppose it was a collective dream of sorts, in a strange nightmarish castle. And the year before, there were multiple cases of Yamask possessions. I don't what happened before that, but honestly I'm not sure I want to.

[occultigen]

And last year was all that business between the regions...so there's no reason to think that this year might be otherwise.

[captainash]

They do say that Halloween is a time for spirits. It makes sense that certain types of Pokémon and local phenomena would be particularly active at that time of the year.

[occultigen]

How very spooky...but it's always turned out all right in the end?

[captainash]

No one's possessed anymore, we defeated the darkness monster hidden deep within the castle, and this place hasn't been taken over by Team Aqua or Team Magma. That counts as all right to me.
