...Hey, can anyone actually hear this...?

[At this point it wouldn't surprise him at all if the answer was 'no', but it's not like it hurts to try, right?]

There's a room with a star chart projected on the walls on the second floor. But the stars on it are completely unfamiliar to me. Has anyone seen any constellations they know in there? From home or from Johto? It might help us figure out where we are, even if not how we got here in the first place.

[Or not, but he refuses to be such a defeatist so quickly.

Which is why he's still in that room, poring over all those little glowy dots and trying to find a sign of home in there. It's not going very well.]

I haven't check that room yet, but that lead might work. If it doesn't, we can cross it off the list.

Everyone who heard this was already in the castle. Looks like we're cut off from the outside world.

[Which is actually kinda alarming, if he thinks about it too long.]

If nothing else, we'll get a few moments of peace and quiet in there. It's surprisingly pleasant, considering the rest of the building.

I figured as much. If we can contact everyone outside, we might find a way of helping them locate us somehow.

[Like tracing the signal?]

That'd be great. Is it safe to sleep there? Or can those monsters go inside?

There's still a chance one of them could hack into our communications and find us, but they'd have to know there's something to hack to do that.

[And that is extremely unlikely.]

Not safe at all, sorry. One of the rooms further away looked relatively undamaged by nasty critters, though. It might be your best bet.

And they have to know where to even locate our network.

[He wants them to find and rescue them. But it's safer to assume they have to break out of this by themselves.]

I'm not that surprised, but got it. If they're safe enough, everyone else should know.

Maybe a Porygon would have more luck with that than a human. I definitely need to get one and try that one of these days...

[Except of course if it's illegal, in which case he would totally never do it.]

I'll pass the word on to people coming by, but I can't do much for those one the first floor who don't have their Gear out. Then again, most of them probably know that the tower is safest by now.

If I have Fortran with me, I'd have it check the network... [Of all times he need his Porygon.] But I'd recommend getting one whenever you can, since it's pretty interesting to work with them in projects.

[Like some of his programming projects.]

The tower's seem to be our best option as a resting and meeting point so far. I'd prefer establishing other safe spots if we can.

Could it be somewhere in here? I did find my Metagross earlier; its pokéball might be in one of those colored rooms.

That would be useful, yeah. It's easy to lose track of time in here, and some people might get stuck on this floor with monsters blocking the stairs if they dawdle too much.

[Does that mean he can find his team again? If it's true and not a one-off thing, he needs to get into yellow and blue rooms. He haven't find the pink one, yet.

Yeah, I did. It almost looked like its pokéball had been dropped there by accident, but considering the trouble I had to go through to find it, I really doubt that's the case.

[Seriously, he's as good as anyone else at finding secret passages, but by his standards these things are ancient.]

Sounds like it's meant to test us and our other Pokemon are in the remaining doors.

[Which means they can find up to three, unless a new staircase opens up...]

Probably. Though I have to wonder why AGE-FX was the one I could find so quickly...

I reckon you're just lucky and persistent enough to find them... Which Pokemon in which room is probably random.

Definitely. I don't see the link between a shiny Metagross and the pink room of a little girl, after all.

Maybe whoever owned that room is fond of big, shiny Pokemon? Like how most kids are?

Or maybe it's a form of rebellion against an overly girly bedroom. Or a very one-sided game of hide-and-seek.

We can list all sorts of reasons, but we'd never get anywhere without a proper lead.

I looked around the library for a while, but I didn't see anything that could tell us much about the room's owner, like a diary. I didn't see one in the room itself either.

If the owner of this place did keep a diary, they would hide it in someplace more secure and safer. [Apparently more secure than a sigil-locked room.] Like one of the other rooms.

I'd normally say that you can't get much more secure than a room locked by some sort of magical force, but since we all received one of the keys I guess I'd take my chances with a normal lock, too.

Well, you can't have enough security in case said magical force got negated. With a normal lock, you can probably hide the only key...or throw it away.

But you can also destroy the door with explosives. ...Then again, it's not like got to keep their Electrodes, right?

Right. Probably why they don't leave our Pokemon with us. Just about almost any of our Pokemon can do a lot of damage.

And even a single Flying-type might be able to escape and get help. I doubt that's what the person responsible wants.
