[In the middle of an inn room lies a bed.

At least in theory. If there is a bed in the middle of this particular inn room, it'll take more than mere human eyes to see it, covered as it is by Ultra Balls, Hyper Potions, Full Heals, Revives and Escape Ropes. Even Ash's Pidgeot does not dare try to land on it, preferring to observe the mess from the bedside table.]

It turns out that spring cleaning is the best idea I've had since I arrived here. Does anyone need extra supplies for the road? I'll accept absolutely anything in exchange, even smiles. ...I can even offer these, if anyone needs them.

[He adds three Moon Stones and three Sun Stones on top of the pile.]

I'll take care of the packaging and delivery. Just help me get rid of all that junk.

I work in a bakery, I'm used to emergencies - most of which require someone with a water-type attack. Just dumped in a bag is fine.

My own dream gave me enough to think about.

...It's alright. I... I think a part of me needed to be pushed a little. Maybe that's even why we got the dreams in the first place. To think about them more, and to get an external point of view.

Perhaps. Though I'd like to meet the Pokemon or other creature that decided to do this and have a chat with them about privacy.

Those little pink, flowery Psychic-types have powers related to dreams, right? Maybe they had something to do with it, but then again I don't remember seeing any around then. Just those strange feathers.

Maybe. It seems like it would be related to whatever dropped those feathers, which means it's likely some kind of flying-type Pokemon.

[Probably? He still doesn't know a lot of Pokemon here.]

I have a lot of Flying-types in my team, but not a single one with feathers that match those. They'd have to be extremely rare, maybe even legendary.

And from what I've seen, information on such things isn't very widely available...

It's really not. We knows they exist because we've seen a few, but... It's in the name, really. Legends, old wives' tales, those are the most common sources of information.

I need to start looking for more information in those sorts of places, then. I know a lot about those sorts of things in my world, but starting from scratch is... new.

Don't worry; getting started is difficult, but that just adds to the enjoyment you'll get out of it.

New, interesting, and most of all unbelievable. Having to take every old story literally is a very thought-provoking experience.

Well, it's not so strange where I'm from, but that's not the popular opinion. Still, with bests that can shape the elements around them being so common here, I'm surprised we haven't heard more about legendary Pokemon already.

Well, they do show up once in a while, but it's not like we usually have the time to write down what attacks they know and what's their favorite diet.

I've heard that, though I haven't seen it myself.

You will, sooner or later. Unless you somehow manage to disappear within the next forty-eight hours, and even then...

People come back, or so I've been told. Apparently I was here before, though I don't remember it.

I've heard about it, too. No one I really knew has come back yet, but apparently there have been dozens of cases. Shame you don't remember, though.

It's somewhat shocking to show up and someone you saw earlier in the day is now several years older.

About as shocking as the opposite, I imagine. Where they taken from the same time as you and just stayed longer here, or were they also from the future?

The former. He's been here... four, nearly five years.

That's starting to become a significant difference, yes. I hope the changes beyond the physical aren't too great.

He seems to be more or less the same person. Which is fortunate, I suppose. Still, even though we're from the same world, we seem to be from different timelines. Different choices were made, so I can't know for sure which is because of those choices and which is because of his time here.
