On a scale from 1 to 10, how embarrassing would you consider being killed by a Chansey that is happily hitting thrown rocks back at you with a tree branch and has already knocked three of your Pokémon out with some skillful aiming at their faces?
This is a purely hypothetical question, by the way.
Also, for a completely unrelated query, does anyone know if the Goldenrod Granbulls take Pokémon in their team? Because I might have just found their future star batter.

[Yusuke grimaces a little as he types that out. Of all the stupid sayings he's heard in his life, that one... well, it's not the stupidest, but he's definitely sick to death of hearing it everywhere he goes. Life is hard.]
So it's like gambling, except instead of trying to win money through a slot machine, you're trying to capture monsters by chucking shit at them. Sounds fun. Think I'll stick to slot machines myself, though; I spend enough time picking up animal crap as it is.
text;
Isn't that what we're doing anyway? Chuck balls, hope they stay closed, waste them all on a particularly stubborn Pidgey. Though I guess some of the Game Corner prizes do look interesting.
text;
... wait, there's a Game Corner?
[YOU'VE GOT HIS ATTENTION NOW, CAPTAIN. Yusuke should probably already know about the Game Corner, given that he's been here since March, but well... he doesn't. Alas, that is what happens when you spend 90% of your time with your head lodged up your ass.]
text;
Except for the part where they're more likely to look like normal animals, I guess.
There sure is. It's in Goldenrod, you can even win a few Pokémon there.

I think I'll pass on the Pokemon. Like I said, I spend too much time picking up after the ones I've already got. That's awesome that they have a Game Corner, though! Seriously, I was starting to think that the only form of entertainment this place had was watching your dog bite the hell out of purple snakes. Do you have to be a certain age to get in?
text;
I've no idea, it's not a problem I have to deal with. But if they let little kids and teenagers travel around with only their pet birds, they probably don't mind gambling.
text;
Gotcha. I was just curious. I'm more into Fighting-types, so I guess the appeal of the Normal ones is lost on me. That, or I've just been using the wrong ones. You ever heard of Bidoof?
NICE. I'll have to take a look once I get to Goldenrod, then! I hope they got pinball machines. I kick ass at pachinko.
[... you know, Yusuke, you probably shouldn't be so proud of your underage gambling habits. Just a thought.]
text;
Heard of them? I have one. Well, had one, he's a Bibarel now. I don't have any Fighting-types yet, though. Are there you found particularly good?
Not sure about either of those, but I know they have a lot of slot machines. Some sort of math game too, if you're good at those.
text;
But yeah, about Bidoof... I don't know what the hell the deal is with the one I've got, but he's like level thirty-something and still hasn't evolved. I mean, he flashes at me sometimes while we're out training, but then he just kinda shakes it off and goes back to normal. Aside from that, he's pretty shitty in battles. I mostly just train him at this point 'cause I figure the exercise is good for him.
[And because he's secretly grown fond of the little booger, but he's keeping that to himself. Goodness knows he's probably not anywhere close to making it obvious to begin with, the way he's ragging on the poor thing. Forever a tsundere, even towards animals.]
Anyway, the point is, I haven't really met any Normal-types that've impressed me in battle. The only other one I've got is this giant cat thing, and the only thing she's good at is sleeping on top of my shit and scratching the hell out of me when I shove her off. So yeah. I'm guessing there's gotta be some Normal-types that can actually fight, though, if you're collecting them or whatever.
And I'll stick to the slots, thanks. I'm not exactly what you'd call a math whiz.

I'm surprised he doesn't want to evolve, considering Bibarel gets Water as its second type. You could always remind him that he could surf the waves if he went through with it? Anddo you have a Persian, a Purugly or a Delcatty? Because my Purugly is psychotic and my Skitty is too young to fight much, but my Persian can create money out of thin air. That would help with the slot machines.
