I need to know where I can get my Glameow declawed.

[No greetings, no smiles today. Just an angry-looking Ash, an angry-looking Glameow tied up and gagged with spider silk, and the wailing of a few Pokémon somewhere beyond the camera's view.]

Don't get started on how barbaric a practice it is or how she'll be unable to use some of her attacks. The rest of my team need their eyes more than she needs any of that.

[The cat hisses angrily at that, though it comes out a bit muffled, but Ash doesn't bother looking at her before he turns the Gear off.]

[De-- okay, not going to get started on the barbaric thing, and she gets the point, really, but... Cats are a special thing, because boyfriend was a cat boy, sort of.]

Eeeeeehh? Declaw? Are you sure there's no other way? Um, why is she doing things like that?

There isn't. If she was just a bit brutal in battle I'd let it pass, but she's attacking her fellow newborns without provocation. If she has a reason for trying to claw out Evo and Eggy's eyes, she's not sharing it.

Is she attacking anyone else than her fellow newborns? Ah well, even if she is... Maybe she's jealous for some reason? [It's just her first idea.]

Not yet, but that might just be a matter of levels. I doubt it's jealousy, though. It's not like she shows interest in anything beyond attacking others.

Ah, well that's true. [Worried face.] It's one big reason for aggression though, but of course it's not always the cause. But if you say it's not that, then I believe you. She ...really doesn't want to talk about it with anyone, not even with another Pokémon?

Just what did that cat do to your pokemon?!

I've heard that Psychic-types could transmit thoughts to humans, so I asked my Beldum to speak with her and tell me what she said. She just started spitting at it until it ran away.

Tried to claw their eyes out. She looked so sweet and innocent when she hatched, too.

I'm not the type that's against declawing cats but maybe considering taking her...like one of those pokemon behaviorist places first? I don't know if that'll be much help.

[A sad sigh from her.]

Yeah, they can. I have a Kirlia myself and she's getting very good at it... Ah, so it won't work then. What if she was put asleep and a Munna or Musharna would eat her dreams, and you'd get to know them too? I'm not really sure if it works on Pokémon though.

I could try that if I ever find one. If I ever figure out why she's doing it, I might even figure out how to make her stop.

I'd need to find one very quickly, though. She's a crafty one; she attacks the younger babies, those around her age.

[To keep himself awake until dark, Howard's watching for videos on the network. Rations has escaped her Pokéball, but she's wandered off chasing some sort of giant butterfly, so Howard's crouched with his backpack under a ledge.]

...Oh my God, and I thought my gothy kittyweasel was bad. What is that thing?

Glameow. Normal-type, level four, almost two weeks old and already the nastiest kid on the playground. Has an interest in eyes and clawing them out.

[A beat, interrupted only by the muffled sound of feline hissing.]

What gothy kittyweasel? Some sort of Dark-type?

Ummm, well I have a Musharna that I could borrow for you. And that is, of course, true. Can't make someone stop something if you don't know why it's doing it.

[Yes, she just said that, stranger. Anything is better than declawing it, and she's a too nice person in general anyway.]

She sounds like a gift for your worst enemy. You got any of those?

[Howard's only partway through the Training Guide for dummies, so he doesn't know what that type stuff means yet.]

Rations, my starter. She's a Sneasel, I guess? I think that's what they're called? Looks kind of like a rabbit, a cat and a weasel all got into a really nasty fight with a flamingo and pair of pickaxes.

Before you declaw her maybe you could try those caps for her nails? I think I saw them in the stores.

Oh, dear ... is it really necessary?

Are you near Goldenrod? The offer is appreciated, but I'm not sure I could travel to meet you up with my Pokémon so upset.

[Still wailing, too.]

I don't have any left, sadly. Unless they show up here from the past, but I don't know what are the chances of that.

That sounds exactly like what one would find on the roads here. She's much like Hellspawn in personality, then?

Is there any way for her to remove them? She'll definitely try until she succeeds.

[Raven sounds pretty horrified, actually.]

Maybe her kind is supposed to hunt them. [Or for some other reason, she doesn't understand.]
